Now that Halloween is over, have you started humming ‘Jingle Bells’ as you wash the dishes? Are the old classics running through your head as you fold the laundry? If so, this list is for you! If you don’t have Pandora downloaded already, get it! There are dozens of great stations that are all Christmas, all the time. What could be better? If you’re already in the Christmas spirit or need a bit of a push to get you there, one of these top five stations will do the trick.
1. Christmas Radio
No doubt Pandora’s most popular Christmas station offering, Christmas Radio is amazing. From classics like Brenda Lee’s ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’ to the ‘Carol of the Bells’ from the Home Alone movie, you’ll hear all of your favorites and more. You will soon find this your go to station for all manner of Christmas cheer.
2. Classical Christmas
For all of the oldies but goodies, you can’t beat Classical Christmas. Perry Como, anyone? Some of the other artists you’ll find on the station are Richard Stoltzman, Robert Shaw and the Harry Simeone Chorale. There isn’t one of these tunes that doesn’t remind you of driving to Grandma’s house on Christmas Eve. It’s fantastic!
3. Children’s Christmas
Remember sitting around that gigantic stereo in your family room and playing Christmas records? All of the songs you loved as a child are played on this station. Songs from popular children’s movies like ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ and ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ will bring back that unabashed Christmas joy you felt as a kid. Listen and listen often!
4. Country Christmas Radio
Even if you aren’t a country music fan, you’ll find something to appreciate on this fabulous station. Trust me! You don’t have to love or even like country music to listen to Country Christmas. Not being a huge fan of the country genre myself, I’ve found this that I tune into this station at least once a day.
5. Make Your Own
Mind you, there isn’t a station called ‘make your own’ but you can do just that. If you have a favorite artist, simply type in their name followed by ‘Christmas’ or ‘holiday’ and Pandora will play any holiday songs performed by that artist. Popular choices are Harry Connick, Jr. and, believe it or not, The Muppets.
If you’re already a Pandora user, you’ll know this, but if you aren’t: read on! Pandora gets to know you. Click on the thumbs up icon when Pandora plays a song you like. If you aren’t a huge fan, click on the thumbs down icon. Eventually, Pandora will play more of what you like and less of what you don’t. It’s a great feature, especially for holiday music. Tune in to Pandora now and get your Christmas music fix!
