To clean a blackened barbecue grill, wad up some heavy-duty aluminum foil and scrub. It works much better than any grill-brush I have used. To increase the effectiveness of this cleaning method, lay the foil silver-side down and turn up the heat on the grill for about 30 minutes. After it is cool, wad up the foil and use it.
