Jasmine’s is having her first slumber party tomorrow night! I am so excited! I think that I am more excited then she is! Jasmine is not really a people person so she has never asked for any of her friends to come over! Her 10th birthday is Saturday so we are having a small party! I will be honest I wish she would have invited more friends but I am not going to push it LOL.. She might just cancel the whole thing!
She wanted to invite 1 other little girl, which I said fine but she came home today and told me that the little girl’s mom don’t speak English very well and her dad is in not here. He actually was sent to the plant in Mexico for the next few weeks. They are moving his company that he works for to start manufacturing in mexico . Apparently the little girl didn’t even want to take the invitation home. Jasmine seemed to be a little upset but I am sure she understands.
This little girl has been one of her best friends since first grade! I wish we didn’t have so much language barriers in the community. I still think that she is going to have a great TIME! I mean come on look who is hosting this party!! Mommy knows how to throw down! I am the “COOL” Mom. I don’t have bed times and we have lots of fun girly things planned with a whole lot of food and snacks!
I was worried that the girl’s that was invited was not going to be able to come! It took a whole lot of talking to the parents to makes this happen! Apparently this is the first time they have spent the night with a friend. I admit I do understand but omg when I was there age we had slumber parties ALL THE TIME! Things have changed so much! It’s sad that you have to be that careful now days. When we were growing up everyone knew and trusted everybody! We were always back and forth.
So mommies I am taking you back! I want to hear about your first slumber party! What did you do and how old were you?!

You know what… I don’t EVER remember going to a slumber party! My mom didn’t play that. But… we have a large family with lots of girl cousins, and we spent a lot of time at each others houses. That should count as slumber parties.
I have four girls, who all have tons of friends. My oldest’s first slumber party, we had 12 girls. It was supposed to be a one nighter, that ended up being a weekender. Wow those girls could eat!
We’ve had a few more since then. I think I’ve gotten too old for slumber parties, I need sleep!
